We welcomed new members as we resumed our field trip schedule after the pandemic pause.<\/p>

The weather was partly cloudy and hazy with an east wind, far from ideal for landbird migration, but you can\u2019t choose the weather when you schedule a field trip. The group found a few warblers (Palm, Parula, Redstart), some migrants (Baltimore Oriole, Hummingbird), a few water birds (gulls and cormorants, Osprey), and a few year-round residents (Carolina Wren, Downy Woodpecker, Cardinal). We also studied invasive plants and many Spotted Lantern-Flies as we walked the trails of this \u201cbird island\u201d among roads and urban development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
