Sixteen birders traveled about 80 miles (almost 2 hours), leaving Medford Leas at 7 a.m., to reach Bombay Hook. This National Wildlife Refuge has many environments, including  impoundments of fresh water and tidal salt marsh. The day became beautiful with blue sunny skies and a brisk, warm north-west wind. We saw the majority of the species before lunch.

Participants: Ann Campbell, Joe Costanza, Susan Dowling, Janet Jackson-Gould, Marie Gleason, Joe Jordan, Perry Krakora, Bob and Marylou Morrow, Carol Neil, Dave and Miriam Swartz, and Louise Tompkins. Guests: Richard O’Hara, Paul and Sally Robinson.
