We could not have asked for a nicer day to end our trip season. Bright sun and warmer temperatures with just enough breeze for comfort. The fenced rolling pastureland with three gamboling horses tacking our progress made for great entertainment. We totaled 29 species seen and/or heard but did not get the Bobolink this year. The freshly mown pastures may have been responsible for their absence. We did get nice looks at Baltimore Oriole, Indigo Bunting, Great Crested Flycatcher and a Cedar Waxwing. Plenty of Redwing Blackbirds, Barn Swallows and Chipping Sparrows in and over the pastures.

The participants: Dino Fiabane, Marie Gleason, Robert Koch, Kay Smith, Miriam Swartz, Louise Tompkins and Ro Wilson.
