Louise Tompkins walked to the point overlooking Monarch Lake. The lake was all frozen except for one small patch in the center. She then walked along the outer path (above the lake) from the parking lot to the Creek Road entrance and back again. It was quiet because the birds were all sheltering from the snow, but some “pishing” stirred up a few birds. Louise saw 11 species and had a lovely, quiet walk in the snow.
The Jordans, Wes Kerr and Miriam Swartz observed birds at their feeders.
