Medford Leas trail walk, April 29, 2016
On a damp, cool (low 50’s) and gray day, three ML Birders walked the ML Trails and saw and/or heard 29 species. Some interesting birds included three separate flocks of Laughing Gulls (15-20/flock) over the meadow, numerous clusters of Yellow-rumped Warblers, a Black-throated Blue Warbler and a warbler we could not identify with any confidence. Behind the Woods Cottages we encountered a family of Canada Geese and got a good look at a Hairy Woodpecker.
Participants: Robert Koch, Miriam Swartz and Louise Tompkins.
