Red-eyed Vireo

Eastern Phoebe
Eastern Phoebe

We had a beautiful, warm, sunny morning, with temperatures in the low 70s. In the late morning, clouds arrived and a blustery wind caused many birds to take shelter. We walked the fields and wooded trails at River Winds and then to the Delaware River for gorgeous views across the river to the Pennsylvania water front and the Philadelphia skyline. We observed all but two of our bird species on the trails.

Participants: Robert Koch, Louise Tompkins, Miriam Swartz, (Pathways guests) Mary Ellen Zitzler, Michael Ziegler, Loretta Kamieniecki, Sam Moyer, John and Betsy Heinz.
