Ann Naulty loves to see people happy and healthy! She also loves to do good things for others, like raise funds for the Medford Leas Residents Assistance Fund. Because of COVID, Ann’s quest was put on hold for several years but this week the Ann Naulty Diner Walk was back!
On Wednesday, May 25, Ann led a motley group of people from both campuses from the Lumberton Community Center to the Diamond Diner on Route 38. Fourteen residents took the mile-long walk at a leisurely pace and, afterwards, sat down to enjoy a hearty breakfast of bacon, sausages, eggs, and pancakes—with lots of conversation and laughs along the way.
Of course, after all that food, it only made sense to burn off those extra calories—and walk back. On the way, we passed groups of young women from the Burn Boot Camp running laps. Show-offs.
Rick Trandahl followed us in the trusty Medford Leas van and kept a close watch to be sure everyone got to the diner and back safely.
Ann will host another walk in the fall…watch for details and plan to come! You’ll be glad you did.
